Do you know that Historic Scotland has a Gaelic Thesaurus for those special words? Maybe this page would be helpful for you, for example: chìp ->keep? -> daingneach? Le deagh dhùrachdan --Sionnach (an deasbaireachd) 05:15, 28 dhen Lùnastal 2015 (UTC)
:I didn't know, no. Thanks! Cìp is indeed supposed to mean keep while an t-aghaidh-thogalaich chùirtearach is supposed to be "curtain wall", which the Historic Scotland thesaurus suggests should be balla-cùirteir. Both of the terms I used came from http://www.learngaelic.net/dictionary/ by the way (cìp, aghaidh-thogalaich chùirtearach). Still, I think I'd trust Historic Scotland over a generalised dictionary any day (for this kind of vocab.). <font face="sans-serif"><font color="#900">Alphathon</font>&nbsp;<small>/'æɫ.fə.θɒn/&nbsp;(<font color="#900">an deasbaireachd</font>)</small></font> 12:36, 28 dhen Lùnastal 2015 (UTC)
:: Tha mi a' dol leat./ I agree with you. But in general the learngaelic dictionary looks fine to me as well. By the way, do you know that there is a Gaelic spellchecker which is working quite well here in Uicipeid? --Sionnach (an deasbaireachd) 19:41, 28 dhen Lùnastal 2015 (UTC)
::PS: às Alba -> à Alba; tha Beurla is Albais beagan agam -> tha beagan Beurla is Albais agam :-)
