What is "diddly" is a matter of opinion, you find that "diddly", I find discussion of dentally fronted flatulatives or trains "diddly" and wouldn't be much interested in them. And I doubt many people could write on flatulatives, fricatives, alveolars etc in Gaidhlig or even want to read about them. Likewise, I suspect you find geology diddly or rugby diddly or the novels of Philip K. Dick diddly.
