English: Spectacular Stac Lee This is an impressive sight, especially when the cloud started to clear from the top, revealing Gannets nesting all the way up. The St Kildans climbed this rock every year, collecting Gannet eggs in the spring and young birds, called Gugas, in the late summer for their food supply. The trickiest part was climbing back down with heavy boxes of precious eggs on their backs. Apparently, very few eggs ever got broken. (Source: "The Life and Death of St Kilda", by Tom Steel).
