English: Loch Eil meets Loch Linnhe The striking bend where the east west grain of land in Ardgour and western Lochaber meets the Great Glen.
The outside of the bend is urban with an almost continuous built up strip from Druimarbin, through Fort William, Inverlochy, Caol and Banavie to Corpach. The slopes of Ben Nevis rise steeply above the town.
