Object history
Deutsch: Das Hifthorn ist schon im frühesten bekannten Stadtsiegelabdruck von 1316 zu sehen. Seit dem 15. Jahrhundert sind Darstellungen dieser Figur im Wappenschild belegt. Eine Zeichnung des Wappens von 1596 weist erstmals drei Federn in den Farben Rot, Silber und Blau auf. Vermutlich hat der seit der Mitte des 15. Jahrhunderts geübte Brauch, das Mundstück des Hifthorns der gräflich württembergischen Helmzier mit drei - zunächst silbernen, dann blau-silber-roten - Federn zu bestecken, bewirkt, dass auch das Uracher Hifthorn ähnlich geziert wurde.
